With Brp having the 3" tracks stock on the T3's now does anyone know if I could but the T3 Drive Axle Assembly (Part # 504153302) from the 2015 Summit T3 as well as the 3" brp track (Part # 504153224) from the 163 T3 and throw it on my 2012 Summit X?

I am looking this route because according the part schematic at BRP -- Parts Catalogs it looks like the drivers and shaft all come in the one assembly, no need to press of the old drivers and press on the new ones.

Maybe I'm looking at this wrong, any knowledgeable help would be appreciated.

That probably would work but I'm gonna guess that buying avid 7 tooth drivers and camo extreme track would be a lot cheaper.

I was told it won't fit , the 2015 are dropped about 1 inch and running 8 t drivers you need 7 t drivers on a xp to run a 3 inch track or do a drop and roll

By the time you get them shipped the Avids are the same price as the full shaft and drivers from Doo.

No. The T3's have an extended chaincase but run a 7T driver.

I just picked up a t3 shaft and drivers last night going to see if it fits to run the 3" in my '14 X. Going for a couple road rides this weekend then will swap it out hopefully next week.

Are you running an X3 or the doo 3"? How much was the driveshaft assembly?

Wow thats not too bad at all. Makes the swap alot easier and totally reversible too.

Yeah I just hope it all fits. Avids were $260 before shipping, tax, exchange. Tracks Canada wanted $389 for their drivers. And Wahls were $150 each from the dealer.

I hate pressing drivers and wanted to be able to swap the 2.5 back in easily for late spring riding.

Old style ones are the best ones!

It used to be. I'd prefer the doo track now.

Yes the old style 3" is the best and most reasonably priced while the new doo track is the best but comes with a high price.

I'll be waiting to see if this works because the skidoo drivers offer far less vibration than the avid ones. The 3" track on the T3 summit feels just like a 2.5" while a 3" with the avid drivers feels like it's going to rattle your teeth out

If you don't want that old camo extreme I will buy it. Hell there are a lot of guys that will take it. I think it is better than the new Doo one for all around conditions, except the weight penalty of 5-6lbs.

Lol don't get me wrong I like the track and they work great. I just think the doo track is bit better with the flexedge, a bit softer lug, and the weight.

I have avid 7 tooth drivers and shaft if anyone is interested. $260
Guy on this site said he was taking it and guess what?
Will not return message or respond over the last few days so I guess it's still for sale.

Bnorth please post with an update after you try it out, would love to try this but I am a little uneasy about buying everything only to have it not fit.

Good Luck

Just got quote from Avid Doo drives $260. US dollars X 12.711% exchange rate = $33.05 + $260. = $293.05 Cdn. + 4.4% International Visa fees of $12.89 = $305.95 plus shipping $62.71 US + 12.711% exchange rate = $7.97 = $70.68 Cdn shipping + 4.4% International Visa fees of $3.11= $73.79 Cn. shipping
$293.05 Cdn for drives + $73.79 Cdn shipping =$366.84 Cdn+ gst =$18.34 = $385.18 Cdn
Tracks Canada quote $369. Cdn + $8.45 gst = $387.45
So to support US business instead of Canadian business I would save $2.27
