Whenever it shows up…. I’m for sure going to ride it stock first and see what it’s about. Don’t wanna Band aid a problem that isn’t there in the first place!

Anyone get some seat time yet on the G5 turbos? Curious if they’re over reving like the gen 4 turbos with stock clutching.
I’m picking up my sled in a couple weeks and I’m wondering if I need to throw turbo tamers on my accessories list

Altitude will be testing as soon as possible. The New Gen5 will need gearing. They kept the same gear ratio as the Gen4. With only a 63 mph 1-1 ratio its not enough for the 180+ HP. The Gen 4 already needed gearing.

so would that mean dropping down a couple of teeth on the top gear?

Seems backward to gear from 2.52 to a 2.42 when you are not achieving your track speed you want.

Essentially you want to make it easier to get up to and maintain track speed not more difficult, really should be going to a 2.68.

Ratio is ratio, at 2.52 that sled is geared for 70mph in 1/2 overdrive.
The extra Hp gives more opportunities to see 1:1 sheave ratio

a consensus, i see.
i geared down my 2020 165 freeride to a 19T top gear and liked it. i have a 19T top gear that i could put in the '23 freeride, hence my question.
