Does anyone know what their tranny temp usually reads when towing .??
Truck is a 08 Chevy 6.0L 2500 H.D..Mine usually hovers around the 80-90.celcius.@110kph with tow/haul on.Hauling about 6000lbs.

about 80, not hauling it runs about 65-70.

On my way to the campout i think it hit 87 in 5th gear .it was 30 degrees out as well,just wonder if thats the norm. or not.I changed the oil in the diffs and t;case and tranny a month ago or so

sounds about right. I have my Dakota Digital set to alarm at 100°C Got it there a few times pulling my fiver through Princeton. The OEM idot light comes on something higher than than. don't know what temp the idiot light comes on at because I never got it that hot.

I guess it must be close to normal temp. then

This is normal and it runs a couple three tick below 95 when pulling the trailer at 120Km/h.

I was pulling my 5th wheel (36ft titanium hard wall with slide) with my duramax from Lethbridge up to Westcasle, pretty much up hill the whole way and the outside temp was about 24 with a slight head wind and mine ran about 93
