Track breaker tool

Ok just finished my 36" kit. Last season did the t motion. Last thing to do is the track. I was going to buy one but figured for the time and expense I would just use the tool. Anyone have one they want to get rid of? Also is that the best method? I heard of drilling also. Just starting my research now on it so I figured I would start with this post.

When i think about it, drill from the inside though the rod, then grab a set of the flat plate vice grips, lock it on, and give it a whack with a hammer? wouldn't that work?
