does anyone or has anyone cut the wire for the throtle positioning sensor on an '09 M1000. Was starting to have probs last year and want it removed.
Which wire do I cut off?

You can't run without the throttle position sensor.

Do you mean the throttle over ride circuit?

Yup, that's the throttle override. Not sure on an '09, but on my '07 i just cut and taped it right at the little black switch on the throttle block. Gotta dig a bit to find it, but at least you won't get the wrong one.

Don't do it if you don't have a tether cord though!

Thanks I'll have a look for it.

x2 on the throttle safety switch. If you disconnect it MAKE DARN SURE you install a tether and use it. I've flopped mine on it's side and found my sled at WOT from a bit of snow wedged in the throttle flipper. If i hadn't had a tether, I'd have likely destroyed my sled and/ or someone else's at the bottom of the hill...
