Well we all best keep working for the ones that are cause everyone who doesn't received a check in the mail today for each child they have and they receive it every month, its unreal, alright for the people who dont hold a job and are on welfare and pump out kids like mice, but real nice for the people who had to struggle through life to proud to take any hand outs and made their way by the sweat an now we have to help fund this wow

Not sure I totally understand your post... you don't think there should be child tax benefits? If that's the case I have to agree as the program is set up for large payouts to people with children who don't make very much annually and small payouts to those of us paying most of the taxes which fund these types of social programs! I don't remember the exact details but if you're making $50k/year and have a couple kids (especially under 6) you're better off living off the system as a couple kids can net you almost $30k by themselves! This type of chit is only going to get worse with the current national and provincial parties in power. Scary to think of how much damage they're going to do before they can be voted out.

I don't have kids, and won't have any. I have a problem with paying taxes into programs like this, school taxes, etc. I feel I and those in similar situation should be getting a tax break. A based on usage program would be more fitting IMO.

Same as essential services having to pay EI. As long as they are employed by the government , they will never collect it. My dad payed into it for 35 years, never collected a cent.

The system is flawed.

It is going to be a long time before we get someone in as good as Harper was, if Trudeau had been in for the last 2 terms this country would have been a 3 world country by now. All the free loaders are keep voting liberal to keep those checks coming there way, not realizing it is only a matter of time before no one in this country is going to be safe from starvation.

Our neighbor to the south is only 17 trillion in a hole ( not sure what that looks like), we got lots of elbow room I figure, just print more like they do !, our currency is based on their's, ...we are good to go !, ... Do wonder how they don't go "broke".

Western Canadian separation is looking like the only viable solution, Notely and Trudeau are doing all they can to decimate the western Canadian economy, there is more to this agenda than meets the eye...
Take a look at the appointments and new taxes by Notely. Justin's agenda on the surface "bring in more voters"..there seems to be alterior motives here as well... and the Canadian vetting is a joke...2 one hour or less interviews...
There is a certain animosity by the east when a 20 year old out can man make more (used to be however rapidly changing) than most easterners with post secondary education....We must be a little more humble on this front, don't attract attention.
Canada in essence is 3 or 4 countries in one and has never been run as such.. My belief, Harpers hands were somewhat tied in that "give to the east" to stay in power, they have the votes..... A flaw in our electoral system..seats per capita...
This however does not bode well for western Canadians, think transfer payments here..
With a better economic picture in the the west without transfer payments we conceivably could have one if not the best standards of living on the globe...
Donald Trump whether you like him or hate him here's the biggie he does not buy into this whole "carbon thing"... As many of you guys know we're extremely proactive and responsible perhaps a/the world leader when it comes to extracting natural resources in an environmentally responsible manner already...

...And if Hillary wins she'll have a love-in with selfie boy...in which case we're royally fawked...

The Feds are here for a bit longer than the NDP, so stand em up and knock em down ...one at a time...
Speak out, sign petitions, expose Notelys NDP incompetence...if we get the NDP out of AB they'll just be a "fringe party" with little finances and support...Kharmas a bitch...

Without a doubt the NDP are negativity impacting the lives of Albertas population and climate chaprnge spending in it's present economy drains it even more. Climate change is a big issue in politics and a business in itself which in itself can be corrupt as well. I doubt if the NDP really has the intelligence to navigate in the murky water's of climate change issue's and not killing the resource industry's value to the promise. Obama in his address to Parliament brought up nothead and her aggressive climate change proposals yet failed to mention the state of the economy. He did state that the US economy has grown without a significant raise in carbon admissions. There economy advances do to the tech industry and I am sure the advances in the automotive industry have helped in regard to pollution. The point I am making is that most of the negative publicity about Albertas oil industry comes from the states who has no issue importing lower cost oil extracted in a way less environmental manner from other countries. Trudeau actually accused Obama of posturing about alberta's dirty oil once and counter that the states was guilty of more extensive environmental impacts. I bring this up because it took balls to say that but he clearly has done nothing positive since.

It's interesting how JT says we must work together yadayadaya.... And so on in regards to possible pipelines and customers for our energy sector . Yet he refuses to help out or get involved ! Now take the NEW carbon tax , no debate , no discussion just here ha go another tax at the worst possible time ...!

Jt is clearly trying to destroy our energy sector along with the economic structure of western Canada , this is becoming quite obvious !!! Would love to see Trump get in and deal with this guy ... That would be priceless .....!!

During world war 2 canada needed too find some cash so they turn on the money machine and today there 700 billion dollars in canadian cash floating around the palnet, they say only 3% of it is real cash, so 789 billion is called "fiat cash".

Not sure what that is, but it sounds like we should of sold the land back too the first nation folk and started looking for land on the moon or other planets, Ha.

Buy high and sell low seems too be the way its looking, and Mr D if he gets in, will boot NFTA putting another screw into our sinking ship.

Oh well, I can always jump ship at any time since I found a life boat off shore.

Canada will be an expensif place too live the old guy told me.

And to top it all off the price of a 2X4 of craft beer in Alberta that is made in another province will be going up $10 in August thanks to Notley's crew. Good thing I stocked up on Red Racer at Costco the other day. Who knew we might someday be smuggling beer into Alberta from BC! D*mn NDP.

Try drinking tool shed beer. At least local beer that supports local will be cheaper. They buy all of their malt in Alberta.

I work my ass off and make a good living, wife stays at home with soon to be 2 kids and our cheque has increased 50% each month. Bring it on. I'd still prefer the income splitting that Trudeau has cancelled.

it won't be the first time. Back in the early 80's the AB breweries went on strike for months and everyone from AB would make the trip to BC to get their beer needs. Not sure if true or not but I was told that the strike got Kookanee beer on the map as they were the closest brewery to AB at the time.
