actually I have already ordered what I need, got an amsteel kit from custom splice for 145. decent price for everything pictured

I have amsteel black, 40' x 1/4" use it on all 2500,3000,3500 the extra strength is nice as to 3/16" 50' for the warn 4.0 as the drum is bigger.
usually have a spool sitting on shelf to make them up

A 3/16 50' Amsteel Blue rope with hook is $60 from CND Rope. He'll even give you instructions on how to spice it if it breaks.

Good buy Tee. One bit of advice, carry a file with you. If your fairlead gets any nicks or burrs in it you'll want to file them out right away or they will rip the rope to shreds in short order. Abrasion is the biggest killer of synthetic line.

Didn't someone mention that you can get the cable at greggs or Acklands? For a lot less.

Princess Auto has cable too. Acklands can be expensive and I refuse to spend a penny @ Greggs
