When I first got my Apex I put in the Gas shock out of the Venture work sled. It stiffened it up a bit. Now I run the Timbersled suspension.

Bottomed my Attank every time that fat pig hit the ground. Fat boy spring is the aftermarket solution. Yamaha has stiffer springs OEM as well. The best fix for that sled is to give it to your wife and get something that won't break every time you ride it. That's what I did.:twocents:
