anyone know the current conditions of the sturgeon river between St Albert and Gibons

i live right in the middle of St.Albert and Gibbons and the river is good some open spots not very big. not very much snow it is all packed down and tracked up and the feilds out this way dont have very much snow either it is an all around crappy winter so far!

Was on the river last weekend. Maybe 3 inchs or so all hard pack on the River. Pretty Rutted up from quads. Quite a few open spots closer to gibbons some are a couple hundred feet long.

Not very good for sledding but great for some studded up bikes or quads.

usually has open spots near gibbons and always great for Quads. 65 miles from st.albert to ft sask via the river:d

Carful for open spots. Last year my group drowned a sled in a small creek from thin ice not too far from devils lake (Onoway area). Apparently one of the local farmers was pumping sewage into the creek which caused it to not completely freeze over. The rider got a little wet and pretty winded.
