Spring clip on stock pipe

I bought my son a 2015 summit 600 sp. I got them to install some of the accessories, but one of the things I did install was an aftermarket can, not sure which one. The problem is that where the springs fasten from the can to the Stock pipe. It looks to me, after taking a closer look, that the clip on the stock pipe that holds the springs in place are welded on 90 degrees out. So.... My son took his sled out and we ended up melting some of the fuses and wiring as well as the temp probe wiring. Has anyone else experienced this. What's your thoughts on warranty? Any intelligent comments would be appreciated

Not too sure what you mean. The stock pipe doesn't have spring loops it has a bar with notches. Maybe post some pics.
