I am still considering one of these....for a little extra cost i have carried a satellite phone...I like the idea of calling 911 versus pushing a button and hoping it worked...just not sure..seems like a good product though

Sale is for 1 week, Friday the 31st to Friday the 7th, but if you ask Canadian tire will usually give you the sale price for a couple extra days on either side.

RAM Mounting systems have developed a cradle for these too. I had a look at one at the Edm Show at the Spot booth. Too bad they didn't have any for sale there.
I think it's a must have so the Spot is always in the proper position for transmitting and not in a bag or pocket where you can't see if it transmitted successfully.
