SLP led wires

I thought i had it figured out....guess not. I want to wire an led brake light. I know I dont need the adapter as mine is a carbed 07 600 HO. Should be direct wired but none of the colors match. I looked at the wiring diagram and thought i had it but nope. The light comes on and stays on. No extra illumination when I hit the brakes, just the brake light on the dash. As a last resort I tried switching the red and white wires(slp light) with the orange and yellow (on sled).....the brown(sled) should be the ground (black on slp)

Any ideas?

Grab a test light ... should be able to figure it out pretty quick.

Test light. Fig out the ground/tail/brake on sled then find the ground on the light ( prolly black) then hook up the remaining two wires one at a time testing to see wat lites up. Should be that simple if u dont need the adapter.

I thought some guys installing LED taillights were having to put a resister in the circuit. Not sure which LED's or which sleds.
