Anyone use sleds for ice-fishing?
Wanted to go fishing and not sure on which lakes in Alberta it is allowed to drive snowmobiles.
I usually keep all my gears in sledges behind, tent, heater etc.
I have heard a Spray lake a good place to fish, may I drive my sled over there?

Pretty sure that there are no snowmobiles allowed on Spray Lakes anymore. Ski-doo at one time did R&D up there in the Spray Lakes area. Long time ago

thanks Sledderglen.
Does any one know any nice remote lakes with snowmobile access?
I know I may probably drive on Chain Lakes, Ghost Lake - but fishing is kinda boring there, and too many people.

nothing to do with parking.
I have checked most of the trails: they do not go through lakes at least in Cananaskis where I used to fish. So, I though someone might enlighten me where I can drive and fish and where it is not allowed.

It is a long friggin' drive and a tough day trip, but I know of a remote lake where the trout are nice and limiting out is not a problem. Scenic mountains all around where the air is fresh and no mosquitoes!

Abruzzi Lake in the Elk Lake Provincial Park allows sleds and ice fishing. February and March, when the sun is out a little longer, are great months.

I go out quite a bit with my sleds and do some ice fishing. If your after mountain lakes. I don't know or have not gone to any as most of them are in parks or in no snowmobiling areas.

As for lakes you can ride and fish these are some i go to , Chestermere(rare), Crawling Valley, Badger,Pine Coulee, Clear Lake,Pine Lake, Travers Reservoir

Sometimes i dont always pick lakes with snow
