Hello fellow snowmobilers and friends.

This post is regarding the avalanche that happend Feb.19 on Mt. Gerald in Hope Creek.

I was hoping to see if anyone has recently been to this riding area since, as to know the snow conditions, and if any of the sleds are visible as all four are still up there and have not been retrieved. Also if any personal affects, belongings, were above the snow or found we'd greatly appreciate being notified and possibly brought back to us.

The snow conditions and weather are important to find out if we are to hire a helicopter service to go in and get these sleds, so any information available is helpful.

Also, as being owners of two of the sleds up there, only one will be covered by insurance to be lifted out, whereas the other did not have the correct type covering it, and so it is alot harder for us to get it.

We are so appreciative of everyone who has already helped and done so much for us and don't want to put out anyone at any means, but if there is anyone who would be interested in helping, possibly being apart of the ground crew in digging them out we would be so greatful, but again, we do not want anyone to be put out of their element.

If interested we would be happy to take names and numbers, can be contacted through snowandmud , Gebhardt92 account or APG account, or email at gebba@xplornet.com - attn. of Brenda or Melissa Gebhardt.

Thank you everyone for you time and patience,
Melissa Gebhardt.

I will be heading up with the group later this week I hope things go well and we are able to get these sleds out for you. Looks like we will have some pretty experienced people involved in the rescue so the chances are looking good.:d

Planning on using the metal detectors to zero in then get Rene or JJ to park over the location, We then anchor 5 or ten sleds to them and let the turbos do the rest to within a couple feet.:d
