Would just like to see some pictures on how it looks I've never seen any with it. And what type of deck they're running. Thanks!

5.5' box with a deck and two sleds would probably dangerously de-weight the front axel, especially for winter conditions.

Marlon classic and new style makes a deck with adjustable legs for 5.5/ 5.8ft boxes, I sold a deck to a guy who put one in the back of his short box ford, also know someone who used to have one In the back of his short box ram. No pics though. Google search will show you some examples.

So how many dirtbikes can I put on a 1/2ton with a sled deck. Will I run out of space or weight rating?

Theoretically, I would guess you'll run out of weight before space. I can easily fit 4 bikes without putting the sides out. That's the equivalent weight of about 2 sleds depending on the particular bike. My old 2 strokes are ~230lbs full of fuel, but a big 4 stroke could easily break 300lbs. Should easily fit 6 bikes up there for a total weight somewhere between 1400 and 1800lbs.

Then add the weight of the deck, six guys and gear, and you're definitely over a halfers limit.

The 2021 ford 1/2 ton crew cab 4x4 platinum has a payload of 3550 lbs and can be optioned with a factory sled deck for two sleds.

It's crazy how a sticker on a door dictates so much
What's a normal engineering safety factor these days anyways, 50%? 100% more?
People just have the need to drive like idiots so here we are
