I know this has been beaten dead but would like some opinions on my particular case I am picking up my first sled deck next week and I have a 2006 dodge with those stupid plastic cleats I was playing on bolting the deck to the bed with four bolts should I also be ratchet strapping the deck to this cleats???

Thanks in advance

Depends on the deck. If it has individual legs and you just bolt it at the bottom the deck will shake a lot and you will eventually crack the welds on the legs. Some support higher up will reduce this.

This is what I have for mine with single legs. 5th year this year and no cracks anywhere.

Eyebolts in the box with 1/4" plate mounted on the underside of the box. Then just turnbuckles with jam nuts put on them.

Bolt it then turn buckle it down also. I just welded my neighbours Titan deck and you are going to need all the help you can get to stop that deck from cracking. Would not be my first choice of deck!
