A two stroke that won't smell like oil or gas??? We would be missing out on something here.............................................the first smells of winter when we initially pull the cord or push the button and the clouds come out in the shop.

I'd be very happy with a 888cc 2stroke etec with 180-190hp.

Me too! The Hydrogen powered one they built is only 144hp though. Maybe they have a gas powered version??

I hope so, along with a different chassis design, that's down right ugly, reminded me of a droid from Star Wars! Lol

You won't have to wait long the new engine should be in the snow checks this spring
872 or slightly larger is coming for 17

Concept to commercial is a long way off, but not impossible. If sleds progressed as quickly as drones... we would be riding 200 HP sleds that weigh 300#'s and could fly...

I won't miss that part. :D

How about a propane powered engine. At least you can buy propane most places. If a 2 stroke will work on hydrogen it should be able to work on propane.

Volk built propane turbo kits , propane is great. It has high octane but tanks are a b!tch.

Why wouldn't it smell like oil? Doesn't a 2 stroke still need lubrication? Is carbon monoxide the only pollutant as the article suggests? If so then a better tuned motor reduces this greatly. Carbon dioxide still exists with carbon based fuels though.

This article sounds incomplete to me.

You can have a two stroke engine with a oil sump.

I want a sled powered by nuclear fusion. One fuel rod would last you for years and be super lightweight.
