Last year I bought the 12 month insurance for my 2013 sled. They want $664 to renew for another year. $14k value, peril, replacement, $1m liability (not sure on deductible). This is from whatever SGI issuer I happened to go to when I bought plates for my sled, I have no attachment to them in particular.

I have no insurance claim history and no house insurance. Would I do better shopping for similar insurance coverage elsewhere?

Doesnt answer your question but was told that in insuring a new sled broker will insure without inspection 10 days after purchase. After the 10 day period you would need to bring it in for inspection

Just insured my 2014xm for 15K at The CO-Operators 500 decuctable, 1m liability, and collision $624.00, and they don't need to see your sled like SGI.

That's not a bad price at all. I've been procrastinating on going in to ny broker and getting the sled set up.

My sleds are a little older so not a perfect comparison but they are each insured for $6000 through Oasis. $202 a year for theft, fire and $1 mil liability. With collision it is just under $500. So proportionally I would say about he same as the others on here.

Haha yeah, my last sled was a 02 ZX and I think it was around $300 for fire/theft/ and a mil for liability. Didn't bother with collision as it was an additional $200 for a $700 deductible. Can buy a rolling chassis for that hahah. I should probably go in tomorrow and crunch some numbers for the XM. Might be doing a day trip up north or northwest on Saturday.
