Sicamous Conditions

[GRD]

A few of us from the site (BAD ASS, JoHNI_BLaZe, and shiznitt100) and some other non-members (Giles, Tyler, and Devon) rode Sicamous this weekend.

Friday - March 21
Owl Head
At least 2 ft of fresh powder
A little overcast, but great riding
Visibility was fair

Saturday - March 22
Blue Lake
At least a 1 1/2 of fresh powder
Clear blue skys, amazing day
Visibility was awesome

Sunday - March 23
Queest
About a foot of fresh
Snowing and poor visibilty at higher elevations
Played in the trees most of the day

Overall it was a incredible weekend and the snow was amazing. A ton of snow was coming down on Sunday when we came down the Mountain. Lots of riding left and the season is no where near finished. Will post some pictures tonight.

Guys:

It is unbelievable out here. Don't come up until after Saturday however - I need a couple of more playdays!

My daughter and I were at Hunters on Tuesday for the day. We were the only two sleds there. We we up at 9:30 - and were whipped by 3pm. You could find stashes of 2 - 3ft of dry pow in the leeward side of the trees. Past the Gordon Sidney - not a track.

i will try and have a vid up for friday night. yes the snow was great at owl and in most areas at blue. wish i could have stayed till tuesday, as on sunday was snowing hard at revy area..

Wow, tons of snow. Barefooter, did you see ray St Onge. He called and said the conditions were incredible as well.

Not much snow left to stage from at Blue Lake by the looks of it.

Pretty skinny at Blue Lake staging... In no time will be driving up..

I just got off the phone with Rene St Onge at Eagle Valley Lodge in Sicamous and he said there are people riding roads up top.From his house he said the snow is visible and coming down the mountain.Will not be long now.
