Back on topic...... I know a few people that run Shell, and have never had a problem and it is a good oil. I believe in factory for factory, yes it is more $$$. But for a replacement I would go to Shell

Very good oil. Only problem with it is when below -25 you can't hardly pull the recoil.
On my 1000 triple you couldn't turn it over if it sat overnight in the cold.
One fellow that had a 800 Polaris thought it was locked up. Lol
Put in shop and warmed up and no problem.

I assure you if it's minus 25 I won't be pulling on that cord.

I think about the time when they went to the 5 liter jugs they changed the formula making it way runnier at colder temperatures.

Hey Doug, I'm cheap and that's why it use it...... Amsoil is like 49.99 for 4 litres , Shell is. 43.99 for 5 litres. It's actually cheapest quality oil on the market in my opinion.

I run Shell with no issues. No problem starting below -25 last year. If Sonic xls smells like Doo factory oil I will not touch it. That sh!t smells horrible. I cannot follow my buddy running that crap in his XP.

Most here will prob notice the difference but I think its still worth mentioning that Crappy Tire seems to be mixing the non synthetic and the full synthetic in the same racks. Seems someone is color blind and cant read the label.
