SnowandMud.com is on a stand alone dedicated server located in Dallas, Texas. We have had Alot of growth over the last year, last year at this time we had 4800 members and were at over 14000 now. We have had small sever issues when the server is updating and backing up data to the backup drive. And this does slow the server down while doing so. We will be adding a second server with a one terabyte backup drive that will fix this and prepare for the future. The images fill the drives quite fast and we have now images going back 3 years. I'll inform all when this change will take place as it may cause some small issues while updating. Also we are in the process of re-working the current site software and moving to the future with V-Bulletin 4.0 Suite, software. There will be some big changes to the entire site as this is the biggest upgrade for Jellsoft Software. This will take us 4-6 weeks to reprogram once it is released from Jellsoft.
Anyway, adding a second server will speed up the site drastically and solve any loading and slowdown issues.
