RPM 's Too High

New 800 e tec 154 summit 8400 to 8500rpm at 2500ft, put softer spring in seems to pull at 8000rpm's now. I'm I the first with this problem?

I'm set at #1 click, dealer say it is a mountain machine and it is set for the mountains. He also said it would loosen up a bit. Went over the bars once.

I would have left the spring alone and added 1.5g to the pins.

having problem with heat and clutching, blowen belt at 340kms, wont hold rpms..... this is the story skidoos owner..... almost gonna give up with doo. i sure love the power the etec puts out though.

Had the same problem at the start with hot clutches and blown belt. Ended up shimming the secondary over 1.5mm and adjusting the alignment even though the dealer said it was in spec. Changed to a 130/350 spring in the primary and set pin weight to 15.5 grams and geared down to 19/49. Now running clicker #3 8000 rpm all day long.
