I have been running a 860 topend off an 07 800r on my 2015 t3.
We used to turn that engine at 8250 rpm in a 2007 rev. Now the etecs are rated to make peak power at 7900. Basically same engine minus fuel injection.
Has any one had an 800r xp pipe to compare to an etec pipe?

I feel that brp moved down the rpm for warranty reasons. I’m not overly worried about large km service intervals on this engine and feel there is power to be made with more rpm. Any one have any thoughts?

First of all sounds like a cool project!

Second, the pipes look just about the same, i know you can use an etec pipe on a ptek, just have to plug the sensor hole.

8250rpm should be fine.

Ran the 880 in the Ptec since 07 for years, and found 8000 rpm was the goal to achieve..

Ran the dynoport pipe and y pipe, went rikr boyseen reeds..

After 8000 rpm it fell quick I recall, engine builder split second and rich from dynoport called a few times
