Riding near Ponoka

There uses to be a few good spots around Ponoka. The gravel pit south of the airport, "the dude ranch" east of town, a a few other spots BUT with people rippin stuff up and wreaking things, those spots are now CLOSED !!! :nono: They only ridin I know of is the river in the winter time !! :d Awesome trails all down the river BUT same thing applys !!! Don't litter, rip and tear things up, and make sure you treat other people's land like it was your own !! The closes to Ponoka is probably west of Rimbey on Hwy.#53. Go to the end of the hwy. , there is ridin right in front of you. Medicine Lake would be another choice. Hope this all helps !!!

Reviving an an old thread, is there public access to the river anywhere local to Ponoka for someone from town to get onto it ?

Rick, chain lakes is now all sub divided and fenced. It is possible to ride the lakes but owners get thier panties in a knot.
