I've got an '06 800 Summit X with a stock riser (165mm), what is the longest riser I can install without running into cable, brakeline or wire extension issues? Also has anyone removed the stopper that prevents the riser from tilting further verticle, anyones experience with this is appreciated.

I know a guy who filed the stop down to about half of it's original thickness and he has not had any troubles with the bars folding ahead or anything like that. Should be ok as long as the bolts are very tight I guess.

I put the 250mm riser on my 07 summit 800r, did not need to extend anything, I also removed the small tabs and rotated it forward. Much more comfortable ride for the taller riders.

mine just bent in when I raised them forward, so I left it as is. and I guess it still acts like a stopper a bit.
me to I want some more height.
250mm with no issues sounds good to me, how much $$
