Replacing stock battery with lithium? Pros and cons?

Just bought an etec with electric start. I originally wanted one with just pull start but stock was minimal so ended up with electric. I wanted to keep the wieght down and go with a lithium battery. My question is are they as reliable in the cold? How much lighter? What all do you need to be aware of unhooking battery terminals? Any info would be much appreciated

You can drop 10-12 lbs. I would get the largest Lithium battery you can fit as they hate the cold. Even the bigger series are under 4 lbs, clear down to about 2 lbs if you wanted to go smaller to drop the most weight. Its a simple swap, nothing unusual to look out for. I would suggest putting on a recoil for backup, Doo makes a kit with everything you need...starter handle just sits behind the side panel, out of sight until needed.
