Rejetting 04 650 vtwin

Good day. Has any one here had to re jet the carbs after doing mods to 'cat'. I have put a HMF muffler and put a dynojet CDI box on my. Now it is running really rich. Can smell / taste it out the exhaust. What sizes of jets have people gone to on the front / rear carbs?

Jetting sizes depends, for example, I have a Mikuni carb on my rhino and use dynojet jets, the DJ's numbers are different compared to the Mikuni's for hole size and aren't direct matches.

So you must first find out what your carb's are, and buy a jet kit to fit your carbs then determine the correct jet that will correspond to the OEM jet and go bigger or smaller from there.

There is also calling a local dealer and ask if they have OEM jets to go smaller

Get the dyno jet kit. I've installed one on a buddies old bf 650i. he had a hmf penland pro pipe, cdi box upgrade. turned out very well, the kit has good instructions for elevation and upgrades, just follow and ur rippin $hit up in an hour or two.
