I want to upgrade to 6x9's from the 5x7's and would like to know what you used and how much trimming was involved.

Jun 23, 2015 #2 DTH Active member Joined Jan 11, 2008 Messages 108 Reaction score 51 Location B.C. You should be able get adapter plates. I put 6 1/2" round in my F-150 which also had 5x7....made adapter plates out of a 1/2" plastic cutting board.

A round speaker is a better upgrade than a 6x9. 6x9 speakers don't have very good sound quality.
