I am looking at a 2019 ram 2500 6.4 . The rear diff is a 3.73 with the 8 speed trans. I have a tundra now that works great but I need a higher load rating. Does any one have first hand info on this type of truck? Does the 4.10 rear diff work better?

the 4.10 would only work better for towing. the 3.73 should be quite suffice for towing, too, especially with the eight speed trans. 3.73 would be better gas mileage, for sure.

I looked at the tundra before I bought my truck and I thought the tow ratings were terrible compared to the 1/2 ton domestics even let alone a 3/4 ton

I have no issues pulling my skid steer and trailer that's around 14k lbs with my 22 3500 6.4 and 3.73 gearing.

If you want to run a lift kit and bigger tires id get the 4.10 gears. If not than 3.73 probably fine.
