That's government for you.. In our area of BC the snowmobilers have not gotten any new areas for as long as i can remember but they have some good established riding areas now... Now the ATV side of things was ch!t on by the government... Were on earth do you hire a consultant that has only ever designed Mountain bike trails to design and implement a trail network for motorized veh.. Payed them something like 60g to do nothing but badmouth the motorized sector and never came up with a plan..
Unfortunately all the motorized groups are suffering

This is how the crooked government does things. They say they aren't closing areas so the general public is fooled but then they just dig up the road.

I don’t think they dug it up they were far sneakier than that…."When you look at the maps, like Google Earth or whatever it might be, from a 10,000-metre perspective, it is 70 per cent [open], 30 per cent closed. However, in order to get to the 70 per cent that’s open, you have to cross a 1,400-metre mark high altitude, which is closed,” Bertrand said.

There's no way they left 70% of the area "rideable". Its all treed...heavily treed. Unplowed roads is all that's left.
The govt basically screwed the towns, businesses and the people to save face to the Natives and used the Caribou as an excuse.
