I hope when you are done that hood you get some flames airbrushed on it. This beast is flame worthy for sure.

If you are set on using your current tether, you can add in a relay that will close when your tether is pulled. About $5 at any automotive store.

I was going to suggest that as an option but not sure a relay In the safety circuit is a great idea, in case the contact gets stuck.

I have a pingel tether sitting around that you can try out. It was on my old RX1 not sure which way its wired. But Im just down the skihill road in Cold Lake.
And a question on the diamond plating. How slippery is that gonna get with mud & water splashed up on it? Might need some notches or foot hoops made to keep your heels in place.

Just saw your video. Looks awesome and sounds plenty mean :) Can't wait to see the finish work and watch you take it for a rip. Yes, a tether sounds like a very good idea but I am thinking full leathers and chest protectors too.

Canadian tire had 2 tethers one with lanyard and one without. One with is normally closed and one without is normally open was able to get it put in thanks tho! Trying to get buddies footage from today was rippin in the streets with it! 2 problems 1. Tensioner so i welded it ha 2. Toe in on tires making it squirly so i ended up cutting my tierods a bit allowing for some rod end adjustment as they where bottomed right out

Update! Gonna build me this new tensioner! 1st gen tensioner didnt really hold up! Tension on the chain would push my wheel down on the cam!
