Hard to tell, but that sticks out the back with a muffler that's missing? I was thinking of dumping forward like the cr racing does on the mcx turbos.....actually found this on alpine low boost kit...something like that......

I have a front mount turbo with tunnel dump. The complete exhaust pipe is about 6 inches total, makes for crisp throttle response.

You are the second guy to ask. Here are a couple of pics of my tunnel dump. It is quiet in the snow, and not bad on the trail. Much quieter than the pipe on my stocker.

oh yeah....thought about that.....work well? Loud?

Its actualy not bad, louder on hardpack trails but off trail its good. My original setup with the pipe was louder and didn't work as well and 2strokes with pipes can be much louder.
There was a big improvement in spoolup and throttle response, though it was not slow the improvement is noticable.

Doesn't the 2860rs have m-24 on the compressor housing? All the pictures I could find of a 2680 had it. I didn't think powderlites used any other turbo for there kits besides a 2860 Rs. Not completely sure though.

You are correct. to double check there typically is a small tag ( identification name plate ) on the body of the turbo inlet plate held by 2 clinches. or on the cartridge

Yours most likely is a Garrett 2860 RS. That's what PL used. You would be amazed if you upgraded the cartridge to the 2863 GTX it's easy.

What are the A/R ratio's for the turbine and compressor housings?
