Shaw,Bell,and Rogers all applied to meter internet usage.As it sounds right now they won't get what they wanted.The federal government told the CRTC to rescind the proposal or they would do it for them after about 400,000 people signed a petition against it.

Right now the CRTC is looking for imput from people as to their feelings for what was proposed.By allowing the big providers to charge more to the smaller ones that buy the services wholsale and bill us they would be litterly controlling the internet and doing away with competitors.

This boils my blood. They say its "like electricity" and needs to be charged per usage. Thats a load of bull$h!+. I pay 50$ bucks a month for unlimited text, nights and weekends. Its like a cell phone, they should keep the packages for people who use internet for a large part of their lives. Like people who operate home businesses and work largely on a home network.
