I started with my 2014 Polaris Razor 1000, Striped it down were it looked like a golf cart.

This it what it started like.

With the help of all the following businesses this build was possible:

UTV Canada
Cycle Works
The Powder Station
PRP Seats
The Decal Shop
RMC Metal Stripping
Mountain Magic Motorsports
Sherwood Park Service
MacCosham Trucking

So got down to the nitty gritty,

IMG_1682.jpg

Looks like nothing much but a glorified golf cart on a Chep pallet.

So now all the parts have gone to RMC on the southside of Edmonton for chemical stripping, once this is completed they profile blast it with aluminum oxide. This makes it accept the powder coating well.

Now at the Powder Station getting powder coated. The roll bars and doors received a black metallic and all the other parts were powder coated orange metallic.

While this stuff was being stripped and powder coated, I worked on electrical and mechanical.
Upgraded to Rhino Axles and had the EPI Mudder kit added to the clutch, the clutch work was done at Mountain Magic.

There is the difference between the stock front axles and the Rhino's
IMG_1685.jpg

Installed the Trinity Stage 5 Exhaust system, including chip

The header was a bit to close to the subwoofer box so had to cut it down by 1/4" and wrap it with header wrap.

So next come the dreaded wiring. I decided to build a panel under the dash with a 10 pack of fuses, with a circuit breaker to a relay which powers all the accessories that have been added.

IMG_2118.jpg

So this was a lot bigger job than I was expecting. The top fuse box is for all the accessories and the small one at the bottom is for the rigid industries wheel well lights and grill lights.

IMG_2726.jpg

Even mounted the General Lee Air horn under the one side, very tight though. Every wire was soldered then wrapped with dual wall heat shrink tubing. All electrical was ran, thermally inspected with camera to find any failures or hot fuses.

IMG_2123.jpg

IMG_2728.jpg

Mounted the control for the rear winch and a warn remote control winch controller for the front winch.

The powder coating has arrived from Powder Station so looks like I have a lot of work to do.

IMG_2099.jpg

IMG_2112.jpg

The doors went back to Mountain Magic where Ken used his magic and riveted the door panel to the frames. First of all he cut 1/4" off the panels as they were all very tight. He did a great job.

Doors : Pro Armor
Front and Back Bumpers - DragonFire Industries
Front A Arms - Super ATV
Back Radius Rods - S3 Powersports
5" Lift - S3 Powersports
Roof - Assault Insdustries
Clutch Kit - EPI Mudder
Wheels - 14" MSA Wheels
Tires - 32" Terminators

It's getting messy, lots of late evenings and weekends

Now that the front end is completed including the grill bumper and winch, time to start on the back end.

IMG_2810.jpg

The back is starting to come together.

Back end.jpg

Took a break from that and finished installing the factory Polaris high lifter snorkel system with a cvt cooler fan.

IMG_2829.jpg

Roof has vent design out the back.
IMG_2818.jpg

Stereo is hooked up just below roof,
IMG_2886.jpg

Have to add extra switches to the dash, 3 more

Thanks again for all that assisted in this build. I did all the labor and mechanical myself less the decals and the clutches. This was many hours of work, some things I ended up doing twice, but it was fun and I don't think im going to do another one soon.

It really is an awesome build, everything was done proper no corners were cut.
I can only imagine the many hours Ron put into it, basically other than work most of his waking hours for the last couple of months. Good work Ron!....

Good job Ron. Lots of time and support from those sponsors sure helps. I was sure you were going to make it a pavement princess but you really took it into the mud.Now you have hours of cleaning to do.
Nice build Ron Whats next?
