I recently bough my wife a new 08 Polaris 500 scrambler.
Her old bike is a 99 scrambler 400 my question is this the old bike has a Fox rear shock the new one does not can I swap the shock and would a 9 year old Fox shock be superior to the one on the new machine?

Thanks MXZGUY

The fox shock is far superior to the new OEM. Further more, you cannot purchse a rear fox shock for the rear any longer. The new shocks have a longer travel, but I would still put the fox on; it will level the machine as well.

At a minimum you must change the secondary to 2-2 and put a white spring in the primary. Best clutching for 500 is a team roller secondary with HPD clutch kit.
