Hey there. Have done lots of searching and now I’m asking. New cvtech crankshaft does not have the index mark in the end of the pto stub. Question is “what does the mark in the pto stub identify?”
I know all about lining the clutch up and what marks go where but can’t find anything that tells me what the mark on the crank identifies.
The old crankshaft marked the high spot in the crank but I did not pay attention to the pto piston being tdc or not
New cv tech crank high spot and pto tdc are one
2nd machine sitting beside me shows pto stub high spot 180* to pto tdc
Is it safe to say the mark shows off the high spot in the crank? I want to mark my new crank and I guess either way this new one is a one shot wonder but for my knowledge sake which is it?
