Does anyone know what the snow conditions are like at Pigeon Lake? We're supposed to be heading out that way for the Family Day long weekend and had hoped to do some riding. I hat to say it but I'm even looking forward for a ride around the lake if the conditions don't permit anything else.

If this continues you may be able to launch a boat by then.

I'm glad I can add a bit of humor to this bleak season! PL traditionally gets somewhat more snow than we get in Camrose. We lost pretty much all of ours last week. I was hoping there may be some left out there so we could at least ride around the edges with the kids. I guess from your replies my hopes are quashed.

Hopefully things will change for the better before Feb Long weekend!

How's the fishing there? Might head there this weekend fishing and will give you a snow report!

It's usually pretty good. Let me know what, if any snow you find and where you were. We may take a drive out on Friday and have a look as well. Thanks.

was out today on pigeon (feb 15), there were lots of sleds. ****ty snow conditions which were really wind blown

quads and sXs all around,

lots of trucks on the lake ice fishing so the ice must still be fairly solid. I was a bit weary as I went through yesterday on my sled on a small creek but was lucky enough to braaapppp through the hole.

if you're willing to drive another hour further beyond the lake there is at least double the snow to be found.

still, a ****ty day of sledding still rules!

i'm 20mins north of Pigeon and there is not much here.

I watch environment canada radar everyday to try to watch local precipitation and haven't seen any fall in that area since we got the decent dump of snow in late November.

i took a couple random samples in the local farmers' fields. 7-8 inches at the most.

So, the weather radar over the weekend showed a bit of snow falling out that way. What does the snow look like? Would it be worth a little day trip to take a ride around the lake? Maybe up the creek on the west end?

So, its been a pretty crappy year in Central AB for snow. Has anyone been out to Pigeon Lake? What's the snow like out that way?

I’m at Pigeon Lake now. (Norris Beach). Very little snow on the lake. Lots of fishing huts though. Gotta day it a beautiful day here.

So I was talking to a kid in the penalty box at my son's hockey game who lives out west of Ma-Me-O. He said the snow conditions out that way are pretty good. Has anyone been out around Pigeon Lake sledding yet? Is it worth the drive?
