The stock clutch must do the same thing. I have been running the race clutch for quite afew years and haven't had any trouble yet. No ring gear and quite abit lighter.
Mountain magic run alot of P85'S on there sleds but don't know how many miles they get on them.

Anybody have any issues putting a polaris p85 on a 800 ho doo?
Heard from rktek that it'll take out brgs and crank eventually.

Im one of the guys that snapped my crank stub. I do not feel the P-85 is any gain over a well setup TRA. I also had lots of trouble trying to keep rollers in the clutch. I was running this on an 1100 RT, which I assume would be a little harder on it then an 800.

my buddy put a p-85 on his kid's '08 XP last season after the TRA wore out, it hasn't broke the crank stub yet but it sure vibrates a lot. his kid stuck it in a small chute when we were in Blue River and I drove it out for him, I noticed it right away.
