same exact thing happened to my bud's 800 outty this summer. replaced the rad and some sort of mod to the cap on the overflow to allow pressure to escape.

Had the same thing done on my 07 800 xt max under warranty. The rad had expanded and closed of most of the air flow. I think the new modification to the overflow tank cap, will solve the problem of the expanding radiator for good.:d

I was snooping around on a different forum, and that was brought up. I haven't had any issues with my Outty overheating, but I figured I would do the coolant bottle update just in case. Turple Bros. sells the cap and grommet, but it isn't an update. The dirtbags charged me $23, and didn't have the 90 or the hose in stock. I just used a 3/8" 90 from Napa, and a peice of 1/4" fuel line crammed into it. Hopefully it makes a difference when the bottle fills up with hot antifreeze, at least now it has somewhere to go.
