oil in the exhaust

I have a 02 800 cat that has oil in the exhaust. I am unsure why, can any one tell why this maybe.

2 stroke........??* maby you mixed the fuel mixture a little oil rich.....if it's self mixing then try running it for* a* bit and pull the plugs see if there fouled with oil.....it should be burning it off not blowing it by and into the exhaust.....might need to pull the head and check the rings....maby the rings are allinged and causing the blow by into the exhaust. Let us know what you find.

If it's a 4 stroke you either have valve seals gone or a serious ring issue. Unless you turned it upside down at some point.

How much oil is the question. 2 strokes by nature will deposit oil along the exhaust system, especially when idling or running cool after a short move. If you pulled your pipe and had a little come out the Y pipe or pipe, that's normal.

If you poured a litre(quart) out of the pipe, thats excessive.
