Buddy got called into work for Saturday so I guess I am passing this year. Now that I'm staying home the missus has a road trip planned for furniture for the kids place.

Re: Official revy riding conditions "3" 2012/13

Another great day was had by all up on Frisby but the fog stopped us from going to far back. Today was all about the snow bikes as they ripped and tore through the early season under brush and went places we would not even think of taking your sled. The bikes seem bullet proof as they don't get hung up on those small trees, can ride right over the rocks and thread there way through the tightest terrain. Should have mine out in about 2 weeks and I can't wait, early season riding on the timbersled is the way to go as the sled is taking a bit of a beating. A person says he going to take it a little easy at the start of the year but it just does not seem to happen. I probed the snow above the cabin and it measured out at 3 1/2 feet so thats not bad for October.

Thanks
Greg

are the guys running straight up snowbike conversions or do they add the Rekluse auto-clutch?

The rekluse is a nice touch and well worth the money. It allows you to stop and start in the tight technical terrain. It also really helps to pick a good line, and if you get stuck it is easier to get off bike and walk beside it.

Re: Official revy riding conditions "3" 2012/13

If the fog was not so thick we would have gone back to the green tower through the lower trail I'm sure. It is early season conditions and you have to be carefull but I've had two good rides already and the forcast is for rain all week in town. The snow is mounting up top, so is it a waste of time...well it has not been for me.

Thanks
Greg

Thanks a lot Greg that's great to know! From what i have read you sound like a great guy and a huge part of the Revelstoke sledding community and there is nothing better to hear then that. One last question! where are you parking when you head up ??
