Spent New year’s in Vegas, had a wild time….hiked in theGrand Canyon, toured the Dam, walked a million miles up and down the strip, stayed up late, drank a lot…..saw some great shows….had a blast.

Then went to go home, showed a 2 ½ hours early to find theplane was delayed an hour, (should have checked). An hour turned to 1 ½. Wasbored and took some pictures….some cute, some funny, some cool….

Then we boarded and sat, ….and sat some more, then a coupleget up and get off the plane, so we got to wait some more while they looked forthe luggage. Turns out they had goy tattoo’s and were sick, the airlines contacteda doctor they it was recommended they not fly…
Landed at 3:00 instead of mid night, and then had to dig outthe truck and scrap the ice off the snow…

Interesting end to a great get away….

Were heading there in May, for my daughters wedding, going down a week early, what should we see, anything to stay away from?

The timeshare people at the airport are the worst. Just after you clear customs you go through a door into a short hallway. Look straight ahead, move fast and don't talk to anyone until you exit the hallway. That's the worst part of it. We just hung at the resort for the most part. Although we did take a sailboat tour out to see the humpbacks calving. That was wild, pretty big creatures. PV has great shopping and bar scene, if that's what your into. Bucerias is another small town with some great restaurants. There are some tours more cultural that we would like to do into the mountains. Zip lines, quads, deep sea fishing are some of the bigger attractions.

We have been to the Mayan side 7 times and this was our first to the Pacific side and we will be going back.

Thanks for the timeshare warning, they're getting pretty bad in Vegas as well, but they're in the hotel's....we couldnt remember them being as aggresive as they were...stand right infornt of people heading to check in, they were handing out top line show tickets for 25.00 but you had to spend 2-3 hours with them .... got tired of saying no thanks, inside voice was saying F_ _ k off, ok I muttered it out loud a few times...

Spent Christmas and New Years at my parent's place in Bamfield. No wild parties, but caught and ate fresh crab, monster prawns, and salmon daily. Even pulled out a few octopus, slime eels, lobster, and a flying fish. No matter how many times I see the west coast, I never get tired of its rugged beauty.
