whats the best way to pull the mag. I am picturing a plate that would bolt
to the pull starter with a jack bolt to the shaft. Is that side a tapered shaft
as well. what other precautions should I be taking? is alighnment an issue
if I might be replacing the crank? I finally ordered a service manual after 8
years but still cant wait for it to arrive.

I used a typical 4-prong puller (not the arm type, the plate type) but had to buy longer metric bolts to attach to the mag....

Go to princess auto and spend 60 bucks, stop by canadian tire and buy 3 #6 metric bolts, 2 1/2 " long the 37 peice is a nice set-up
