Jr spoke to the media today at Watkins Glen and said he is no hurry to get back till he feels he is right and the doctors clear him. He plans to stick around for the practices today, visit the team then beat it back to NC and work on the weddin'.

Pretty exciting end to the road course race today at the Glen with lots of last laps drama. Denny Hamlin was in the right place at the right time with Kez and Kyle Busch over driving the course racing each other on 2 restarts. Here was the top 10: 11-22-2-47-14-18-1-78-6-20

Heres the updated Chase Grid after Watkins Glen: 2-18-19-11-20-48-4-41-22-78-14-31-24-3-1-42. Some notes from the race. Keselowski is now the new points leader in the Sprint Cup Series. Chris Buescher is now only 3 points behind David Ragan for that most important 30th in points and a Chase berth. Earnhardt Jr. is now 21 in points and will need a win in the remaining 2 races if he returns after Bristol in 2 weeks if he wants to make the Chase.

Xfinity race at Mid Ohio showed that Nascar needs to work on its wet program. Even on rain tires it was a demolition derby at best. They need some support from open wheel racing groups who run in the rain and are competative.

Justin Marks held of Hornish and Blaney to win
