N.E of ELKFORD

Been watching the satellite images on the weather network for quite some time and it seems to be showing a lot of snowfall over the last week or 2 just N.E. of Elkford. I also noticed a post on CAC stating a large amount of snow in the same area. Anyone know if it is worth the trip out to the Cataract Creek area? Never been there and would like to check out a more remote area. Thanks.

Someone must live in the area or have been out there recently.

Thanks. I usually do but last week there was a line in the avalanche bulletin that said in essence that 50 cm's were to fall NE of Elkford. I inquired locally to buddies who work at the River as we had nothing in town nor as far as I could see; nothing at the mine either.

Rigrat also read what I read (and he was searching also) but nothing on this side to report.

I'll put any updated info here and in the SW Alberta section to help you guys out with what might be the last storm of the year.
