Have you ever felt the creative urge to build a snowmobile with a 1,000cc Ariel engine and other bits and pieces that happened to be sitting out in the woodshed? Probably not. Besides, the engine itself would likely sell on eBay for more than the value of that woodshed and all the lawn mowers parked inside. But times were different in 1937, when there were more Ariel engines in woodsheds. The story of Doug Wilson, a man who in fact did build a snowmobile with an Ariel engine, came to us supported visually with a couple of scratched prints. But in those prints we knew there was a great story to be told. The year may have been 1937 but the passion for motorcycles was every bit as powerful as it is today.
