So my 850 xp has never been flipped i have sunk it once but did not hydro lock it and rode it for weeks afterwards no problem. After a trip to the mountains the air box had a bunch of oil in it and the quad started to stall everytime you let off the gas. I chatted with a polaris mech. and he said the lathetor plate sometimes warped and would blow oil into the air box. He said not to replace to plate but the whole valve cover with the plate from factory. I did this but the quad still stalls all the time. Anyone have this problem or have any ideas i can check?

you could try cleaning the throttle bodies, maybe they are dirty. also a chance the fuel pump is down on pressure.

Check for the recall. Also atv forum has info on the problem.

Do you do alot of wheelies or doing some steep climbs? I had oil in the airbox from wheeling on hardpack and in the water. The air filter was soaked in oil and caused it to stall. Just a thought.
