I have a 2012 HCR 800 with an MBRP stinger on it. And really the only place to mount the thing is right on the stinger itself it's too compact in there for anything else. The mount is burn your skin hot but the hot pot itself is like .. Room temperature. Anyone got some better ideas on where to mount the hot pot on the new kitty cats?

:)

I have heard if you use the "hot dogger" instead of the "Muff pot" or "hot pot" you can move it further up the pipe under the nose cone on that sled..... Taminator and her hubby had them on their 12's last year. Otherwise you can always call and find a "The Thing" Can with the cooker built in.

Use the heat transfer pad trick that has been posted earlier in here. Pound out a bunch of aluminium foil to increase the surface area touching between the pipe and the muff pot.

Maybe I will just make the boyfriend put it on his Pro .. Supposed to work good on those and than this way I'm not responsible to stop playing when he decides he's hungry! Heh :)

Thanks again you're just full of info this morning haha.

wrap the food in the parchment paper, then in tin foil.... keeps the black tinge off your food!

Tyler, why the foil? I haven't used foil other than the little aluminum take-out trays for a couple years now. It is parchment paper all the way. It helps to prevent burning and it is much healthier than using aluminum foil.

When we use the cooker...which is rare because we never seem to stop long enough to eat...we use the parchment paper and a tinfoil takeout tray to hold the parchment wrapped food. This helps prevent accidental messes in the pot and easy to clean if needed..just throw it out. Also the foil tray gives you something solid to hold onto and use as an eating tray. If we have ribblets, wings or anything messy we use the poultry bags, cooking bags...then into the tinfoil pot to again prevent messes with roll overs etc...again easy to clean and something solid to open the bags into. We usually would put the food in the cooker about an hour before we eat and then ride hard for that hour!!

Good luck and good eating!!

Yuppers...hot dogger for the 12 and up Cats mounted just above the bend seems to work best from our experiences :) It's lower profile so it fits and sits pretty level there....our muff pots didn't work well any way we tried.
