Mounting an RV furnace in sled trailer

I picked up and RV furnace 22.5 L x 9.5 W x 9.5 D and rather than mount it and have it stick out 22.5 inches, can I mount it sideways? If it is mounted sideways the burner will be on its side as I need the two vents accessible. Will it operate proper properly?

mount it as per manufacturer's recommendation or you will have issues.

Mounted ours sideways right above the wheel well, just had to modify the exhaust. Never had any issues with it.

I saw some mounted at Martin Equipment like that, but decided to mount mine as per the manufacturer's instructions.
