Looking at going out sledding for the first time mid-april with a group of experienced riders to new guys. None of us have been out this late in the year. How are the conditions usually like? Advice on best places to go

If mother nature co-operates...you can ride into mid june...
It has been a few years...but we rode middle of June 2002. It was great.Plus 30 at the bottom of the renshaw. pulled the sleds behind the quad to the old parking lot at km23 and had a blast!
Tried the next year...missed by 1 weekend.
Hard pack,go anywhere snow.But still a good 5 or 6 feet at the top.No rocks poking out yet.
